Stock Up – Jared Goff
While I have shared my fair share of Jared Goff slander, I will give credit to the man where credit is due. Jared Goff has looked phenomenal in this Ben Johnson system. All this offense needs Goff to do is make easy throws and be able to hit his tight ends and receivers on rollouts which he does to perfection. Goff has really limited the mistakes the past few weeks and is working on trying to buy himself another season with this team, and if he keeps it up I wouldn’t be surprised if he did just that.
Stock Up – Health
The week 13 game against the Jaguars was about as close to healthy as we will see the Lions this season. We saw the debut of first-round receiver Jameson Williams (in limited snaps). Romeo Okwara was activated and will most likely be back next week. Jeff Okudah returned from a concussion. We haven’t seen this from the Lions in a long time and hopefully, it is here to stay. If this team can stay healthy I guarantee the sky’s the limit for these guys.
Stock Up – James Houston
James Houston, the seventh-round pick out of Jackson State, an HBCU has looked amazing in the limited time he has played. The 24-year-old made his debut last week with a two-sack performance on only three snaps. This performance ultimately led to more snaps this week against the Jags and the young defensive end tallied another sack on a smooth edge-rushing move. It looks like Brad Holmes may have done it again with this one
