
Right before the deadline, Vikings General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah strikes big. The Vikings have traded a 2023 second round pick and 2023 third round pick for Lions star tight end T.J Hockenson and a 2023 fourth round pick as well as a conditional 4th round pick.
Hockenson is in his 4th year has been a great playmaker for the Lions. With the lions off to a 1-6 start they looked for draft compensation for a young skillful tight end.
Through 47 games he has amassed 186 catches for 2068 yards, He’s is a big, long, fast, tight end who can help Kirk Cousins stretch the field, making the Vikings arial attack even more lethal.
Hockenson has posted a 74.7 PFF receiving grade as well as a overall grade of 69.4
The Vikings were looking to add a playmaker to their offense. With the recent injury of Irv Smith, this deal makes perfect sense for the 6-1 Viking who are looking for any help to bolster this offense.
