Player Spotlight: Jaire Alexander

After missing out on a majority of the 2021 season through injury Jaire Alexander has bounced back big time and reminded the league just how good he is.

Jaire Alexander had shown during the 2020 season that he was well deserving of his status as an elite tier cornerback, with many regarding him as the number one at the position that year, when he was named to his first pro bowl making his injury in 2021 all the more devastating.

Since his return to being a regular healthy starter at the beginning of the 2022 season Alexander has reminded everyone of just how good he is being named to his second pro bowl in the first year back.

Alexander has always shown that he’s able to completely shutdown the best receivers in the game and that has stayed true this year with PFF grading 7th in pass coverage amongst the league’s regular starters in 2022.

The big game that stick out when looking at the all-pro corners’ are week eight Buffalo putting up a 91.3 coverage grade where he was targeted 5 times in that game and allowed 0 receptions and even let Stefon Diggs know all about it after the game.

The big stand out in Jaire Alexander’s season are the plays he’s made on the football with five interceptions, the most he’s ever had in a single season.

After signing his $84 million extension in May Jaire has more than proved that he is worth that price tag and is without doubt going to contribute a great deal to the Green Bay Packers for years to come.
