Boom: David Montgomery
After the Green Bay Packers allowed a franchise high rushing yards last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, David Montgomery is poised to post a large rushing total himself. Justin Fields returns this week, but his usage should be limited due to his shoulder injury. In the absence of Khalil Herbert, Montgomery should receive a majority of carries and be efficient against a poor run defense.
Bust: Chase Claypool
While the Bears’ starting quarterback returns this week, that is not a great sign for their new receiver, Chase Claypool. Claypool posted his best of four performances with Chicago with Trevor Siemian at quarterback. While Fields has been an excellent rusher, his passing numbers have been concerning. Even in the absence of Darnell Mooney, Claypool may not see many opportunities.
