On August 22, 2022 the Minnesota Vikings traded a conditional 2024 Seventh-Round pick to the Las Vegas Raiders for Quarterback Nick Mullens. On May 4, 2017 the San Francisco 49ers signed Mullens as an undrafted free agent from Southern Mississippi University, Mullens would spend Four years with the 49ers. In 2018 Nick Mullens started eight games for the 49ers after the injuries to quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and C.J. Beathard, in those eight games Mullens threw for 2,277 yards, while throwing 13 TD to 10 INT. Mullens got his chance to play again in the 2020 season during multiple injury stints of Starting Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, in 2020 Mullens played in 10 games, starting eight. In 2020 Mullens threw for 2,437 yards, and 12 TD to 12 INT.
On December 22, 2020 Mullens suffered a season-ending injury, which put an end to his time with the 49ers.
On June 14, 2021 Mullens signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, but he was waived before the season started.
On September 1, 2021 Mullens signed with the Cleveland Browns practice squad, and would start one game in 2021 in Week 15 against the Las Vegas Raiders after Baker Mayfield and Case Keenum tested positive for Covid-19, in that game the Browns lost to the Raiders 16-14, and Mullens put up and un-impressive performance.
Mullens signed with the Raiders as a Free Agent on April 4, 2022. Mullens is definitely not a great quarterback, but can definitely give the Vikings a chance to win if Kirk Cousins is out for any reason.
