Christian Watson vs Darius Slay:
Christian Watson has officially arrived as an Nfl receiver with two outstanding performances back to back against the Cowboys and Titans putting up 155 yards and 5 touchdown receptions.
Lining up across from him will be a player the Packers know all to well in former Detroit Lion Darius ‘big play’ Slay.
Slay has played at an exceptionally high level in 2022 with his PFF grade in single coverage being the best in the entire league amongst cornerbacks making his potential matchup against Watson an intriguing watch.
The trenches:
Since finally being able to play their first choice offensive line the previous two games the Packers offensive has performed far better than the previous few games and this will be incredibly crucial against a dominant Eagles defensive line.
The Eagles have an abundance of game wreckers across the front seven including the like of Fletcher Cox, Haason Reddick, Josh Sweat and Brandon Graham all contributing to a total of 33 sacks so far this season (3rd best in the league).
Eagles Gm Howie Roseman has also been extremely aggressive targeting free agents on the defensive line bringing in both Lival Joseph and Ndamukong Suh so expected to see plenty if both of them.
Putting Jalen Hurts under pressure:
This will most likely be the biggest challenge the Packers face this game with Rashan Gary’s season over paired up with how strong the Eagles offensive line is with many ranking it as the strongest unit in the entire league.
Pass rushing responsibilities will now fall on Preston Smith’s shoulders and with 1.5 sacks last time out against the Titans he’ll be hoping he can keep that momentum going against Philadelphia on Sunday.
