As you all know the Lions have had an abysmal season so far, and things are not going to get much easier for them in the coming weeks, let’s take a look at the opponents coming up
Week 9 – Vs Packers
Yes the Packers have been struggling and yes Aaron Rodgers has not looked so good this year but you have to consider the team the Lions will be putting out in this game. The Packers have lost three straight and I doubt that Rodgers, even without much-receiving help will allow them to drop five in a row. Rodgers had an 18-6 all-time record vs the Lions and I see him improving that this Sunday. Prediction – Packers W /br>
Week 10 – @ Bears
This game is a must-win for the Lions. The bears are not a very good team; they just traded their two best defenders. The offense had a terrific week against Dallas but I do not see them sustaining that. This is going to be one of those games that give Lions fans false hope and a game that saves Dan Campbell’s job (for now) Prediction – Lions W /br>
Week 11 – @ Giants
The Giants have jumped out to a surprising 6-2 record and have looked great this season, Daniel Jones is playing like an NFL player, and Saquon Barkley’s resurgence has been fun to watch. This game could be a shootout but ultimately I do not see Jared Goff and the lions being able to pull this one out in East Rutherford. Prediction – Giants W /br>
Week 12 – Vs Bills
This one is going to be ugly flat out. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs are going to commit war crimes on our secondary, I could see the Bills putting up 45+ and we might even get to see Case Keenum in this game. The Lions will be coming off of a short week and can simply just not match up and will no doubt get massacred in their only nationally televised game all season. Prediction – Bills W /br>
Week 13 – Vs Jaguars
The Lions will be coming off of a long week against the Jags in week 13, a team who has had a weird season starting off so hot but has not won a game in a few weeks. Trevor Lawrence has looked bad recently but the Lions’ defense will make him look like Peyton Manning, look out for Travis Ettienne to have a great game on the ground. This game could also very well be another game where both teams score 30+. Should be a fun one but ultimately the Jaguars should come away with it. Prediction – Jaguars W /br>
Week 14 – Vs Vikings
The Vikings have been one of the more surprising teams this season, starting out 6-1. Dalvin Cook has really started to come into his own and Justin Jefferson is still Justin Jefferson. As long as Kirk Cousins doesn’t forget how to play football this offense is going to roll over the Lions with ease. Prediction – Vikings W /br>
Week 15 – @ Jets
The second game at MetLife stadium should be a much easier one. The jets have looked okay at some points in the season but with Zach Wilson at QB and no Breece Hall for the rest of the season, this team is subpar at best. The Jets’ defense has been great this season so I do not expect the Lions’ offense to do a whole lot but do just enough to get the win over New York. Prediction – Lions W /br>
Week 16 – @ Panthers
The Panthers are another team who are tanking and have done a good job of that so far this season by dealing Christian Mccaffrey and looking to trade DJ Moore. The Panthers are not very good and I think the Lions are very capable of beating them and doing so-handedly. Goff and Swift should have a good game while our defense handles PJ walker. Prediction – Lions W /br>
Week 17 – Vs Bears
The Lions get another game against the bears, this time at home. Hopefully, by this point, the Lions have embraced the tank and will not pull out all the stops to win this game. With the way Justin Fields has been progressing he could have a field day against the Lions here. The Lions should be able to out-tank the bears in this one. Prediction – Bears W /br>
Week 18 – @ Packers
The Lions always play the Packers in the last game of the season and always play them super competitively in these games. This game is going to be the game where Dan Campbell is going to try to save his job if he still has one by January. He is going to go all out for this game and will not let the Lions lose to this Packers team. The Lions will win a close one in Green Bay Prediction – Lions W /br>
Final Record prediction:
5-12
I have a good feeling about our game against Green Bay next week. Perhaps Campbell finds himself and pulls off a huge upset to put the nail in the Packers coffin. What an amazing win that would be!
