Lions vs Packers TNF Week 4 Preview

The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions will face off in a thrilling divisional game this Thursday night. The Lions just defeated an unbeaten Falcons team, demonstrating the strength of their defense and their potential to be very good. Following another come-from-behind victory, the Packers also achieved success beating the Saints despite Green Bay missing multiple key players. It will be interesting to see who is fit and able to play Thursday night since both teams had a number of players miss this week’s games due to injuries. Both sides will be striving to go to 3-1 and establish themselves as the king of the north, so this game should be highly competitive and exciting.

After defeating the New Orleans Saints in a dramatic comeback, the Packers enter this game 2-1 but also badly injured. Aaron Jones, Christian Watson, Jaire Alexander, and David Bakhtiari were among the players that sat out on Sunday, yet they still managed to win. Derek Carr’s injury played a significant role in their victory, but Jordan Love has also performed far better than expected. Love has performed wonderfully thus far, making the necessary throws and handling the ball with extreme care. Love has plenty of time to throw the ball and make the throws he needs thanks to their strong offensive line. Luke Musgrave, their rookie tight end, is another positive part of their offense.

The Lions just defeated the Falcons, limiting them to only 6 points. The Lions defense was on the verge of elite after a lackluster showing in week 2’s loss over Seattle, sacked Ridder seven times and limited Bijan Robinson to 33 yards on 10 attempts. In order to win the game, Aidan Hutchinson forced a turnover in addition to sacking Ridder twice. Additionally, Brian Branch had a fantastic game, with 11 solo tackles, 3 TFL, and 2 PD. He was able to earn an 89.0 coverage rating from PFF, and he now seems to be the draft’s best value. The defense showed its ability to apply pressure, hold up, and help Detroit win games.

The rookies in particular excelled on offense. Sam LaPorta recorded his greatest performance to date, hauling in 8 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown. LaPorta now has the league lead in tight end receiving yards and is on track to break the tight end rookie receiving yards record. Jahmyr Gibbs also had a fantastic game, gaining 80 yards on 17 carries. Gibbs showed that, despite what some may assume, he can be a fine running back by averaging 4.7 yards per carry. Both sides will face a serious challenge in this game, which is also crucial for the division standings. Although Detroit is expected to prevail in this game, as we witnessed in the Dallas vs. Arizona game, anything is possible.

My Prediction: Packers Win 23-20 in OT
