The Green Bay Packers came out on top this week vs the Chicago Bears. At times it didn’t look easy but the result left fans with a sense of excitement. The season isn’t over. With 4 games left, the Packers will need to win all of them to give themselves the best chance at a wildcard appearance. Here’s a key thing to look out for in each of the final four games.
Vs Rams
The Los Angeles Rams are really struggling right now, mainly due to key injuries. Arguably they are the easiest opponent we have left. Coming off a bye week, Green Bay should enter this game as favorites. With Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald likely to still be out, the Packers should leave this game with a 6-8 record. The key thing I will be looking out for in this game is the potential return of Romeo Doubs. He looked quite exciting at the beginning of the season and now with the emergence of Christian Watson, he and Doubs could be a really exciting duo going forward.
@ Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins sit at 8-4 right now and look like a really scary team to come against. Saying this, they lost this week to the San Francisco 49ers. To make matters worse Jimmy Garoppolo left the game with an injury after only 4 pass attempts, meaning the Dolphins lost to the 49ers’ backup QB. On top of this Miami had only 33 yards rushing. To win the game the Packers will have to contain Tyreek Hill which is no easy task. This looks even tougher considering Jaire Alexander’s performance yesterday. He got burned twice. Once by N’Keal Harry, and one by Equanimeous St.Brown, both nowhere near as good as Tyreek. This is a matchup to look out for in the game.
Vs Vikings
The Vikings sit top of the NFC North at 10-2. They are one of the favorites to win the NFC and won’t be an easy opponent. The game looks even more challenging when remembering week one, which resulted in a 7-23 loss for Green Bay. In that game Justin Jefferson caught 9 passes for 184 yards. Therefore, similarly to the game against the Dolphins, Jaire and the other CB’s will need to contain him. But for me the key thing to look out for will be Green Bay’s wide receiver’s. Christian Watson dropped a massive pass on the first offense play of the game and after that the offense was completely flat. In week 1 AJ Dillon came out as Green Bay’s leading receiver. We are a very different team now, and if Romeo Doubs can hit the ground running when returning from injury it could be an interesting game.
Vs Lions
When the Packers lost to the Lions, the Lions were the worst defensive team in the league. That’s why it was incredibly concerning that Green Bay only scored 9 points. This will need to change. Overall the defense matched up well against them only allowing 15 points. Therefore the focus will be on the offense. Although by this point in the season we might see Jordan Love playing QB. We will see.
