The Bears are currently looking to break a 9 game losing streak versus Green Bay, and although it seems like all odds are against them, they have what it takes to win this game. The Bears are much better equipped to face the Packers this week then they were week 1 of the season – Montez Sweat has added some sparks to this defense, DJ Moore is becoming more and more of a factor, and the secondary has been playing its best football yet. Not to mention, the Bears are hot. They are 4-1 in their last four games, coming off a 37 to 17 win versus the Atlanta Falcons. More importantly, Chicago just wants it more. The implications this game has for the future is too big for the Bears. If Fields can prove himself, the narrative of the offseason will completely change. Currently, the Bears hold the number 1 pick in the NFL Draft, and keeping Fields will open different trade options for the pick.
With all that being said, this game won’t be easy to win. While the Packers defense has struggled lately, Fields has performed poorly against them throughout his career due to their zone-heavy style. Furthermore, in their last six games, the Packers have averaged about 27.3 points, having a 4-2 record. The Bears are also facing key injuries this game, with Darnell Mooney out, Jaylon Johnson doubtful, and several other players being questionable. However, this is a revenge game for Chicago, and with the strength of this rivalry and the leadership’s need to prove themselves, the Bears are ready to win this game.
